All courses are packed with obstacles and challenges with some running thrown in. From rope climbs, to monkey bars, bucket carry to walls and a few surprises thrown in the Alpha Challenge won’t be short of entertainment.

9:15am - Competitive 5km

9:25am - 10km Open (waves go out every 5 mins)

10:30am - 5km Open (waves go out every 5 mins - includes High School 5km open and Family Wave)

11:15am - *Competitive 5km COMBO

11:30am Mint adaptive

12 noon Alpha Minis

12:30 - 5 and 10km prizegiving.

When Covid hit we had to cancel our Spartan tours to the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Auckland. That meant no OCR for our crew so we came up with a solution! Plan our own event! And what better place to hold it than our beautiful town of Wanaka.

We want the day to be a celebration of friends, family and OCR fun so there will be live music, food, drinks and a general Christmas party atmosphere.

We wanted to create a day where if you want to push hard and race you can but also if you want to go out on course with your friends and take on the challenge together you can too.

Mostly we want to share the fun, community and challenge that we have experienced and loved since taking up this sport as well as showcase our beautiful region and talented businesses!
